Awarded 95 points and a Gold medal in the New World Wine Awards. From one of our oldest wineries in New Zealand, planted in 1898. Renowned pioneer winemaker Tom McDonald commenced working at the winery at 14 years old and by 19 he was in charge. Tom became famous for producing New Zealand's first Cabernet Sauvignon and pioneering modern winemaking. The winery is now well-known for producing award-winning Chardonnays – this wine has aromas of stone fruit, citrus and smoky oak. The taste is delicious with layers of flavour including fig and toasted nuts along with a creamy citrus finish.
