Awarded 95 points and a Gold medal in the New World Wine Awards. In 1838 with the blessing of the Pope, a group of French Missionaries emigrated to New Zealand and established a Mission Station between Napier and Hastings. In 1870 they had their first commercial sale of wine and since then have been producing wine from Mission Estate. This Merlot Cab Sauv blend has beguiling rich red fruit aromas integrated with oak. The flavours duplicate the smell, with a lovely softness in the taste. Great for drinking now and cellaring for a couple of years will yield rewards.
